Synopsis:

The Game Boy version of Spider-Man and the X-Men in Arcade's Revenge is a side-scrolling action-platform game based on the console release. It follows Spider-Man, Cyclops, Storm, Gambit, and Wolverine as they attempt to escape Arcade's Murderworld, with each character using distinct abilities to navigate hazards and defeat enemies. The handheld version retains the introductory Spider-Man stage followed by character-specific stages that can be completed in any order, but reduces the structure to one main stage for each hero before the final confrontation with Arcade. Several stages were shortened or altered for the Game Boy, including Spider-Man's section, which is based on his second console stage and features a battle with Carnage.
